NYC. I had a leather jacket that needed the sleeves shortened by 2 inches and Marco took it in from the shoulder and the result was flawless. It now fits me like a glove and is exactly what I wanted. The quality of the stitching and work is top notch. Marco was friendly and very easy to work with, he runs an honest business and his experience is obvious when he gives his recommendations. I will definitely be taking more of my pieces here for future alterations and can not recommend this business enough!

Marco at 6 Avenue Tailor is a wizard! I needed several alterations on a Self-Portrait gown, and he did everything perfectly. When we originally met to discuss the alterations, he listened to my requests and worked with me to make sure all the changes would be exactly how I wanted them, while giving his expert opinion. He took in the seams on the corset top while preserving all the symmetry and details. There was also shoulder draping that needed to be taken in and re-sewn in a very specific way, and he also executed that flawlessly. I am so happy with how this turned out, and will be returning to 6 Avenue Tailors for all my future alterations!

If I could give Marco a 100/5 I would. I’ve used several tailors around New York City, and Marco is the best of the best. Earlier this year I had a white dress that I was excited to wear on vacation, and the zipper popped. I was in a pinch and Marco did a beautiful job repairing the dress. And for my birthday, I got an incredibly complicated crochet dress, and I gasped when I saw the final alteration. It fit me like a glove, the hem he made was even more beautiful than the original, and any other tailor would’ve needed more time and charged me a fortune. Marco will be the only tailor I ever use. He’s the best kept secret in new York!
